Study Visa Holland provides work permit services to individuals who would like to work or to full fill a placement in the Netherlands. This process is often a complicated and drawn-out procedure. Every application is unique and professional services are often required to guide you through the process.
If you are studying at a high educational institute in the Netherlands and you are planning to do a student internship or work placement, no work permit is required. BUT, if you are studying in your home country or another country and you want to do an internship or placement in the Netherlands, than you do need a work permit! ( and very likely also a visa! ) The employer must apply for it.
If a residence permit for study purposes is issued, it is allowed to earn money on the side. Such work must be either seasonal (in June, July and/or August) or less than ten hours a week. Also in this case, the employer has to apply for a work permit.
Not every employer is able to do so because of lack of time or expertise. In that case Study Visa Holland handles work permit matters for both corporate clients and individuals.
Please contact us for an application or more information.
By the way: as an EU/EEA/Swiss student you are free to work as many hours as you like alongside your studies. Your employer doesn't need to have a work permit for you.
